Adrien Brody – Predators
Adrien Brody Workout Diet Training for Predators
Bio-Adrien Brody was born on April 14, 1973 in Woodhaven Queens, New York. The American born actor began his acting career at the ripe young age of thirteen with a role in an off-Broadway play and a PBS television film. Adrien started winning awards in 1998, with receiving an Independent Spirit Award for his performance in the film, Restaurant. In 2002 the actor received widespread recognition for his starring role in Roman Polanski’s The Pianist. In 2003, Adrien won an Academy Award for best actor at the age of 29. To date, Brody is the youngest actor to achieve this highly touted award. Another notable feat is that Brody remains the only American actor to receive the French Cesar Award. The actor has also received recognition for his roles in Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam and Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line. Perhaps the actor’s biggest movie role came in the form of the Predator sequel where he played the lead character, Royce.
The 2010 U.S. sci-fi action flick directed by Nimrod Antal was the fifth movie in the Predator series distributed by 20th Century Fox. In the movie, Adrien Brody plays the lead character, Royce who finds himself on alien territory and strives to break free from the predator aliens. The action sequel was produced on a 40 million dollar budget and took in over 127 million dollars at the box offices all around the globe. To prepare for his role, which was perhaps one of the most dramatic body transformations out of all the celebrity actors, Brody took part in a muscle bulking workout program. The actor went from scrawny to brawny by packing on an impressive 25 pounds of lean muscle mass for the movie role. What’s even more impressive is the fact that the actor did this all while enduring a grueling 12 hour a day filming schedule.
Scrawny to Brawny Adrien Brody Predators Workout
Although the actor didn’t go into complete detail about his workout, he did inform that to prepare for the Predators role and pack on an astounding 25 pounds of lean muscle, he used a heavy weight, low repetition training program that taxed his muscles for maximum growth. The actor admits he did not lift weights that heavy since his college days. His intense six day a week program with the gym iron allowed him to also trigger a hormonal response which resulted in increased testosterone for even more muscle building results. A male’s testosterone levels soar when their body is placed under heavy resistance loads. Typically compound or multi-joint exercises are best used to stimulate this hormonal response. The Predators actor also reported that he was amazed by the psychological transformation that occurred once his physical changes came to reality.
To pack on all of that lean muscle,The Adrien Brody workout practiced a six meal a day diet rich in lean protein and carbohydrates. The actor’s protein came from lean chicken cuts, turkey and beef. To reach his daily protein requirements the actor also consumed protein drinks. A typical day for Adrien started with fruit in the morning with complex carbohydrates like oatmeal or brown rice. Then followed by lots of chicken with sweet potatoes and vegetables. Leading towards the conclusion of his diet, the actor eliminated all carbohydrates and stuck to eating only chicken breast, fish and just a few green vegetables. The actor truly put forth his best effort. He stated that he restricted his diet completely of refined sugars, zero alcohol and not that this matters with diet, but no sex. His goal was to harness the ferocious mindset that his character personified in the film.
As previously mentioned, Adrien Brody successfully ranks as one of the most amazing celebrity body transformations to date. I find it truly impressive how he isolated himself from worldly indulgences to create a laser-like focus and intensity towards his Adrien Brody workout training and the movie role. Everyone can learn a thing or two from this actor’s work ethic and training practices.
