Anne Hathaway was born on November 12, 1982 in Brooklyn, New York. The American actress started her acting career on stage until she landed her first appearance in the 1999 television series, Get Real. Two years later she played Mia Thermopolis in the movie The Princess Diaries. Anne followed up that performance with a role in the sequel, Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement and taking the lead role in Ella Enchanted in 2004. Hathaway also played dramatic roles in Havoc and Brokeback Mountain in 2005. Anne continued climbing the ladder to acting success in 2006 and 2007 in films like The Devil Wears Prada and Becoming Jane. In 2008 the actress won awards and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her starring role in Rachel Getting Married. 2010 brought on movie roles like Valentine’s Day, Alice In Wonderland and Love and Other Drugs. Currently Hathaway is preparing for her role in Christopher Nolan’s Batman: The Dark Knight Rises.
The forthcoming American superhero flick, The Dark Knight Rises is under development and direction of Christopher Nolan. The Batman sequel has been filmed in a multitude of countries that include India, London, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York and Pittsburgh. The action movie is based on the DC Comic, Batman and will be the third and last sequel in the movie series. Nolan has chose to use Imax cameras to enhance the quality of the picture for this movie.
The Dark Knight Rises is scheduled to release in the United States and Canada on July 20, 2012. Anne Hathaway landed the role as Selina Kyle in the future film. The actress referred to her role as the most physically demanding role to date, most importantly fitting into the form fitting leather costume. To ensure that she will look amazing in the tight outfit, Anne has picked up a five day a week training program. The actress also noted that she always thought being skinny was most important, however she says she needs to be as strong as possible for the intense stunts and filming.

To reduce her body fat and build lean muscle while increasing strength, Anne hits the gym five days a week. The actress performs intense celebrity workouts and stunt training that follows 90 minutes of dance training. Her intense gym training includes weights along with steady state cardio and interval training exercises. The actress also reported that she does Bikram yoga as well for flexibility and core balance. Hathaway admitted that she doesn’t like the daily grind of the gym and has trouble getting over that certain hump of not gaining strength fast enough and being unable to recover as fast as she’d like from the training. I’m sure the actress will come out of the current training just fine and look absolutely incredible in the 2012 Batman movie sequel.
Anne Hathaway’s Diet Plan
Anne really seems to be concerned about the unforgiving nature of the tight and unforgiving Catwoman suit she will wear in the movie. To assist her in her physique-slimming goals, the actress is sticking to a vegetarian diet as she has for some time now and reportedly only consuming cabbage, kale and what she jokingly says, dust. Anne claims it wasn’t always easy to eat this way while filming in the United Kingdom. However, the actress does say that the country has come around and now has many veggie-focused eating spots for her to eat.
Anne Hathaway has always remained slim and fit, however I’m excited to see her on the big screen next year in The Dark Knight Rises. One thing that stoked my attention is her claims of having trouble getting over that hump of not gaining strength in her training. From my professional experience, I wonder if she is consuming a sufficient amount of protein in her diet perhaps from supplements or nuts. There were no reports or evidence that she is working with a trainer or nutritionist. At any rate, I look forward to seeing Anne in the flick.
