Bio-Zoe Saldana was born on June 19, 1978 in Passaic, New Jersey. The American born actress began her career with appearances in an episode of Law And Order in 1999. Saldana played in her first major film role in the 2000 film Center Stage and later rose to fame for her roles in Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl and in the movie Avatar. Her other notable roles that came in movies and television series includes Crossroads and Drumline both in 2002, The Terminal in 2004, and Guess Who in 2005.
The 2009 U.S. epic sci-fi flick Avatar was written and directed by James Cameron. Development for the movie began all the back in 1994 as Cameron was directing his other notable movies. The Avatar movie with Saldana as Neytiri in a lead role ran off of a 237 million dollar production budget and brought in a whopping two billion plus dollars at international box offices. Zoe keeps her body in extremely good shape but for the movie she took part in a Pilates program along with her trainer constantly pushing her through new workouts to prevent training boredom. The actress performed a three-day a week Pilates workout schedule and three to four workouts designed by her trainer. The actress goes on to note that if she didn’t have access to her trainer, she would probably just go for a leisurely walk for fifteen minutes.

Her typical fat burning weight circuit included 40 seconds of high intensity exercise followed by 20 seconds of rest between movements. The actress’ typical set range consisted of 4 to 5 sets per circuit. Saldana’s circuit exercises included movements like jump squats, walking lunges, push-ups, medicine ball seated twists and jump rope intervals. These intervals allowed the actress to burn maximal amounts of excess body fat while developing lean muscle mass all at the same time. This particular training method is widely used by people who need results in minimal time. Her trainer skillfully designed circuits that included compound movements that targeted all major muscle groups. Her circuit workouts were finished in 30 minutes or less.
